Rise Up!

The first thing I heard that inspired me to change directions was a show on Democracy Now! about 2 years ago. It was a piece entitled, "Drilling and Killing, Chevron and Nigeria's Oil Dictatorship." Because I had never stopped to think about the costs of getting oil, I just continued to drive my car. I didn't even stop to think that whole COUNTRIES are being decimated just to feed our addiction to oil. I realize for most people, it is impossible to stop driving your car. But, the next time you need to go somewhere, ask yourself is it really nessecary to drive? Look into alternatives, such as riding your bike, walking, or look into bio-diesel!
